Doha Climate Change Talk
Climate change is a serious threats facing mankind. The world’s ecosystems and global economies are all threatened by the various impacts of climate change. Such as drought, increased precipitation and flooding; increased incidents of extreme weather events, erosion etc. Scientists suggest that the leading cause of these impacts are anthropogenic i.e. increased green house gas emissions from man-made interventions.
In order to push towards global solutions to these global climatic trends, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change convenes world leaders and policy makers in yearly to debate global emission reduction policies.
In 2012, such talks took place in Doha, Qatar. Glory Edozien of Enviro Africa discussed with Climate Change Talks TV the paradox of Nigeria’s energy challenge and possible solutions to such challenges.
